Product Description: FIX 10-S is an ultra fast setting, chloride free hydraulic cement which sets immediately when exposed to water. Typical Applications: Applied to concrete, masonry, stone, positive or negative water pressure side, to: • Plug/stop active water leaks • Dry out wet areas • Seal leaky joints, cracks or formtie holes Advantages: • Stops water leaks in less than 30 seconds • Easy application - no mixing needed in most cases • Waterproof • Durable • No odor - no fumes Substrate Preparation: The substrate must be sound, clean, and free from any surface contamination. Remove any soft, deteriorated, unsound substrate, leaving an appropriate opening for the FIX 10-S. Rout out cracks to a U-shaped profile. Do not apply to substrates below 40°F (5°C). Mixing: Note: In most cases FIX 10-S can be applied as dry powder without mixing. Where mixing is desired carry out as follows: • Mix with clean water to obtain desired consistency. • Setting time is dependent on the amount of mixing water used and the temperature of the water. • Warm temperatures accelerate the set, cold temperatures retard it. • Mix only small quantities of material at a time.
Physical Properties: The values stated are applicable with ambient temperatures of +23° C and 50% relative air humidity. Higher temperatures shorten the processing time, lower temperatures extend processing times. Storage/Shelf Life/Packaging Cool and dry, 12 months in original sealed packaging
13 lb pails (5.8 kg)
Approximate Yield: 1 lb. (0.45 kg) will fill a cavity of approx. 1” x 1” x 24” (25 mm x 25 mm x 600 mm). Application: Read all instructions thoroughly prior to installation. • Dry Method: For most leaking areas, firmly press FIX 10-S powder against the active leak, and rub until the water stops. For large areas of moisture penetration, rub FIX 10-S powder into wet surface area. • Mixed Method: When desired, mix an appropriate amount of material as described above. Place FIX 10-S firmly into the crack or hole using gloved hand or a brick jointer. Hold firmly in place until material has set, approx. 10 - 30 seconds. Strike off flush with surface. Clean-up Promptly wash hands and tools with water before material hardens. Cured material must be removed mechanically. Note: Installer is responsible for proper product application.
